Which aspect is NOT the responsibility of the Scrum Master?

The role of the Scrum Master encompasses many responsibilities aimed at ensuring that the Scrum framework is understood and effectively implemented by the Scrum Team. Among these responsibilities, facilitating Scrum events is clearly within their purview, as they guide the process to ensure that the team follows Scrum practices.

Coaching the Product Owner and Developers is another fundamental aspect of the Scrum Master's role. This includes helping the Product Owner with backlog management and ensuring that the Developers are equipped to deliver high-quality work.

Shielding the team from external interruptions is also a primary responsibility of the Scrum Master. This ensures that the team can focus on their work without outside distractions, protecting the team's workflow and productivity.

However, the choice of setting up meetings, while important, typically falls outside the Scrum Master's core responsibilities. The Scrum Master may facilitate and guide meetings, but the actual logistics and setup, such as room reservations or technology arrangements, are usually managed by the team members themselves or an administrative support role. This division of responsibilities helps keep the Scrum Master focused on facilitating collaboration and coaching rather than on administrative tasks.
